The coast of the Limarí Valley is home to one of the greatest miracles and natural mysteries of the planet: Talinay and the Fray Jorge Forest. A surprising relict forest of the austral-type glacial era, the northernmost in Chile that lives off the Camanchaca oceanic fog and resists the advance of the driest desert in the world: the Atacama. This forest, UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Starlight and National Park, has numerous species of birds, plants and trees from different latitudes, times and climates explored for thousands of years by mysterious nomads from the Atlantic and the Amazon, the Molle culture, pirates, black slaves and the mythical navigator turned religious Fray Jorge.
